Als Werkstudent in der Software-Entwicklung (m/w/d) tauchst du bei uns in spannende, innovative Projekte rund um programmiersprachenübergreifende Anwendungen und modernste Datenschutztechnologien ein. Du bist Teil eines interdisziplinären Teams in einem Start-up-Umfeld und hilfst mit, die Grenzen der digitalen Sicherheit neu zu definieren. Durch deine Arbeit trägst du direkt zur Entwicklung und Verbesserung unserer patentierten "Non-Visible-Data" (NVD)-Technologie bei und sammelst dabei wertvolle, praxisnahe Erfahrungen in der Softwareentwicklung.
Was erwartet dich?
- Du arbeitest in einer flachen Hierarchie und profitierst von unserer Start-up-Kultur, in der lösungsorientiertes Arbeiten und kreatives Denken gefördert werden
- Dir stehen Optionen für Praxissemester, Abschlussarbeiten oder eine Vollzeitanstellung offen
- Du entwickelst spannende Projekte weiter, wie zum Beispiel:
- Übersetzung unserer NVD-API von C++ in Java oder WebAssembly
- Erstellung einer Chat-Anwendung auf mehreren Plattformen mit NVD-Technologie
- Ausbau unserer REST-Dienste mit Go, Docker, Kubernetes und AWS Lambda
- Programmierung einer Web-Plattform zur Bewertung von Assessments mittels Docker und Künstlicher Intelligenz

Was solltest du mitbringen?
- Du studierst derzeit Informatik, Mathematik, Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik oder einen anderen technischen Studiengang
- Du verfügst über Kenntnisse in mindestens einer Programmiersprache, Git und hast Lust Neues zu erlernen
- Je nachdem welches Projekt dich interessiert, sind Kenntnisse in C++, Java, Go, Docker, oder Web-Entwicklung (z.B. TypeScript, WebAssembly) von Vorteil
- Du bringst Interesse und evtl. Vorkenntnisse in IT-Sicherheit oder Kryptografie mit
- Du hast Spaß daran eigenverantwortlich zu arbeiten und bringst deine Ideen mit ein
- Du hast Freude an agiler Arbeit in einem Start-up-Umfeld und kannst gut in einem internationalen Team arbeiten
- Du besitzt gute Englischkenntnisse (B2)

Mehrere kluge Köpfe aus dem Lager der Kryptographie und der internationalen Softwareberatung haben sich 2014 zusammengetan und sich die Frage gestellt, weshalb die gesamte Software-Branche sich mittelalterlicher Methoden bedient, um Daten und Dateien gegen fremden Zugriff zu sichern. Wie im Mittelalter werden auch heute noch möglichst hohe Schutzwälle um die Daten errichtet, doch zur Weitergabe oder Bearbeitung muss der Schutz entfernt bzw. der Zugangsschlüssel geteilt werden. Aber statt dieses Grundsatzproblem zu lösen, wird versucht, den Wall immer höher zu machen – ohne Erfolg. Alle Beteiligten waren sich einig, dass es möglich sein muss, einen wirklich sicheren – und damit auch einen absolut neuen – Weg des Datenschutzes zu finden.

Can I send several applications at once?
The number of your applications is not limited. An overview of your applications can be found at Workwise.
Can other companies see where else I have applied?
No, companies can only see the applications they have received.
Can I also contact the company's contact person directly?
Personal contact is possible via chat as soon as you have been invited for an interview. Before that, you will receive all important status changes by e-mail. If you have any questions, you can contact your personal Candidate Manager:in from Workwise.
I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
Even if you don't meet all the requirements, you can make up for missing knowledge with additional skills. Use the application's questions to address your motivation and show the company why you are still a good fit for the job. If you don't meet many or all of the requirements, the application will not be successful.
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
