Working Student for Software Development (m/f/d)
As a working student in software development (m/f/d), you will dive into exciting, innovative projects focused on cross-language applications and cutting-edge data protection technologies. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team in a start-up environment, helping to redefine the boundaries of digital security. Through your work, you will directly contribute to the development and improvement of our patented "Non-Visible-Data" (NVD) technology while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in software development.
What to expect?
- You will work in a flat hierarchy and benefit from our startup culture, where solution-oriented work and creative thinking are encouraged.
- Opportunity to continue your work with us in the form of an internship semester, final theses, or a full-time position.
- Work on one of several exciting projects, depending on your interests, for example:
- Translation/extension of our C++ NVD-API into other programming languages (e.g., Java, WebAssembly, Python).
- Development of a cross-platform chat application based on NVD (WebAssembly).
- Extension of our REST services (Go, Docker, K8s, Lambdas).
- Interactive visualization of our NVD data structures with QT6

What should you bring?
- You are currently studying computer science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another technical degree program. (For at least one more year)
- Knowledge in at least one programming language, Git, and a willingness to learn new things.
- Depending on the project you are interested in, knowledge in C++, Java, Go, Docker, or web development (e.g., TypeScript, WebAssembly) is advantageous.
- Interest and possibly previous knowledge in IT security or cryptography are a plus.
- You enjoy working independently and contributing your ideas.
- You enjoy agile work in a startup environment and can work well in an international team (Good English skills!).

I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
